Default Question: A 4.25" Stroke on LS Block (Standard Deck Hight)... It is possible

Has any one done a 4.25" stroke be installed on a LS block (9.24" deck hight) regardless of streetability or oil consumption issue???

I read a book stating that a 4.25" stroke can be with some trimming requirement...

that would require a longer than normal rod to keep it from rocking at the bottom of the bore. oil consumption issues aside, id say it would work with quite a bit of clearencing.

Thus a 6.125" connecting Rod wouldn't work fine with 4.25" stroke...

its hard to say. you would have to measure the usable length of the cylinder and keep the wrist pin above that point. thats why i say a 6.200 rod would probably be better.

why not a slightly smaller stroke? why does it have to be a 4.25"?

just supercharge it, there is all the torque u need and no problems of burning up all your oil. much more reliable power too
