Default FAST LSX Intakes...

My LSX shipment is on the way...

I'll be doing some flow bench testing and then dyno testing with Mike at Dez Racing and some of our mutual costomers' cars. We'll see what both units are worth over the existing intakes already on the market.

After we have a baseline, I'll try a few "things" to them and then gather the addition data after the rework.

Whether of not camshaft designs specific to these manifolds is required is my main goal, but I'm sure some people just want to see these units in action!

Stay tuned!

Ed

Ed, do me a favor. Put a timing light on the valvetrain during your testing. I would like your opinion. In my opinion it is scarey.

what different car setups do you plan to do testing on? Wondering if this new intake would really be worth the money on your basic H/C car?

Lynda:
Mike Dez has a customer ready for a LS6 vs FAST intake.

I'm using the "boss's" C5...

We'll get to it soon... That is if the snow melts quickly...

Chris:
Getting it done soon... The dyno is tied up with an engine right now.

The wife's C5 gets the 78 mm and Mike Dez's guy gets the 90 mm...

I really need to see how this responds to camshaft intake timing issues and what it's worth on a totally stock engine. I'm also going to see what it's worth on the "Beta" test AFR 205 heads..

I'm sure Mike and Brian at Dez's, will allow me to "play" all day with the dyno... right guys???

It's sweet as hell, and workmanship looks impressive... but ... if it's only worth 5-6 rwhp over a stock intake... bad deal... Overall torque curve and average HP increase on the cyno will be great but track testing is the "proof in the pudding"...

Just wish it was in "positive" numbers on the outside thermostat...
