fbody king, those are some nice results for sure. but thiose afr heads cost as much as my whole set up did. dont get me wrong if i had the money i would have gone with the afr 205's myself.

im starting the reassembly in the morning and should be doen with most by sunday night, however i broke my oil pressure sending unit when i took the manifold off and the new one wont be here till monday. so that will be the startup day

Thats the spirit! I think next time I do a cam swap I am just going to film myself breaking it with a hammer just to get that part over with really quickly.

What is your progress? I know you were asking about the lifters in a different thread, just didnt hear the outcome or if you were wrapping it up.

Plus, I want to see ole Nate Williams come back and talk about his setup that was not anywhere the same as yours.

He is doing that as well. Probably needs to get that new Nate Williams throttle body too! I hear it adds like 20rwhp.

I can't wait to hear how the sound of your setup compares to my TSP 233/239 596/605 on a 112. With that cam, my Borla, Y-pipe (no cats) and long tubes I have been told by MANY people that my exhaust is one of the loudest they have ever heard, especially at WOT, ear hurting loud, LOL. You can hear the car on cold start-up almost a 1/4 mile away and that is simply turning the key forward, no reving.

Sound Clips Don't Do It Justice But:

Your car should sound AWESOME with that setup. Post up some clips ASAP.

Good Luck!!!

You should see about 450 with that combo. The graph TSP posted was 463, but they had more compression since they had to fly cut. I'm expecting 460-470 with my STEM Racing package, which only cost me $1600 total for the heads/cam.

Are you still going after the stock bottom end LS1 H/C record? You should take it to the LSx race this fall!

Not this year I'm not going for any records. You have the e.t. bar set pretty high, even after calling local 9 sec sbe cars like Jugger's "chicago tin cans" then rolling out an even lighter one.

The LSx race is closer to me this year so I will likely be there. My car being entered or not is still up in the air, but I would still slow it down and run an index. I wouldn't take it for exhibition.

I had considered chasing it but I don't want to cut my car up as much as that one is. Not that there's something wrong with it, you hit your goal. I just want a car that can actually drive legally on the street... and soon a giant turbo. I want to move on to that after I push my 241's hopefully into the 9's.

I never called anybody's car a tin can (can't speak for everyone else around here that a screen name)...I know ours is light (as well as Jugger's and Magnus's) and there's nothing wrong with that for a racecar in my mind!
