rocker arm chaser size?
rocker arm chaser size? hey guys im going to be helping out a buddy of mine who i guess cross threaded the hole for the rocker arm bolt..i havent seen it yet but he said it needs to be tapped, from what i gathered through a quick search is to not tap it but rather use a thread chaser? and the size i found is M8x1.25? thanks guys..hopefully i get a reply asap

That bolt is M8x1.25 (same as top row of head bolts IIRC).

ok guys im going to need some assistance please..its worse then i thought i got the car today and its just one bolt hole(very first driver side)and the bottom half of the threads are still there but the top half is gone..could have probally been fixed easily but his other buddy told him to drill it out so now i got the helicoil size m8x1.25 and also the tap m10x1.5 since the m8x1.25 tap is useless since its drilled and the hole is bigger. the m10x1.5 on the first few threads was letting the coil go in but before i tried to go more i wanted to make sure this will even hold and not wasting my time? thanks guys please let me know if im not doing something right....heres a few pics from my phone
