if you dont see at least a touch over 400-425 to the wheels id be surprised. thats a really good cam for an a4. personal preference though i opted out of the chomemoly pushrods, they are stronger than the valves and id rather bend a smushrod than a valve just in case...

A4. The car will need a new transmission and torque converter. I am going to go with a Performabuilt stage 2 trans and there 3200 or 3600 stall. Haven't really decided on which stall I want to go with. I am looking at this car. I am go to get EFI alchemy to tune the car once I get it moving if i do end up getting it.

I've never had a Performabuilt, but I would also talk to FLT before you make up your mind.

I looked into FLT but i think the had a 3 month warranty. I will do more research once I actually get the car if I do. Gonna be another 4 weeks for the guy to make a decision. Really wanted to see what kind of power this thing should make. I have a v6 now with a few things done to it so this will be a world of difference. This car would be more of a fun car and not a daily driver unless the v6 went down.

I would agree with a low to mid 400rwhp range for your setup.

Stalled A4's are not dyno queens, but they run at the track. With similar mods I only registered 391 unlocked but got an 11.8/11.6(corrected) on an easy launch, hiting rev limiter on each shift and first time ever to the track!

Don't be surprised if it's 390-410! Dyno is just a tool!

Yea i have read that stalled cars read lower on the dyno. I was really tring to see what this thing could run in the 1/4 and 1/8. I figure mid to high 11's.

I don't understand the purpose of he "smoothed runners" on the 243's. The surface finish isn't going to change performance much if any. The biggest improvement you can make in a cylinder head is from 1/2 inch before the valve job to 1/2 inch after the valve job. ESPECIALLY in the 243's. You can see a 25 cfm increase from a good VJ and blend, and will see more or less nothing from rolling the surface with a cartridge roll.

I would say 400-410 locked. You could see big improvements with a better intake, better heads, and better headers.

yea when I seen Pacesetter headers I initially thought it could have better. I really like the new TSP longtubes. This car is a project though since it needs probably $2300 worth of transmission work and a tune will be $350-$500 on a dyno. So its going to cost alot to get this thing moving. Wish someone local had a 4l60e I could put in for cheap until I saved up and bought the built trans.
