are you suggesting a 224/224 or 224/228 cam? my slighty larger 227/230 should make more, didnt really think it was that mild

Lobe separation doesn't always mean more hp lobe type(XER,XFI), lobe events, ramp rates are usually your determining factors on how a cam is going to perform. Your intake manifold, heads, exhaust, also valve train stability will predict where and how you build hp. The 224s and the 228R are proven 400 hp cams with the correct set up. Again if you have any questions a lot of people here will help you out.
