Default cylinder bore compared to head gasket bore

I have a resleeved 4.030 bore ls1 the pistons are out the hole 0.020 should I run the same size head gasket bore as the cylinder bore or bigger say a 4.060 head gasket also what gaskets are the best for a resleeved block.
Thanks Robert

Id run a 4.060-4.100 head gasket and you probably need a thicker compressed thickness head gasket since the piston is out of the hole that much. Look at the MLS or Cometic gaskets.

Do you have an ls1 block or 6.0?

You need to run a slightly larger bore gasket than whichever is the larger of the two.

Meaning if your running a 3.900 bore motor with a head that has a 4.100 bore chamber you would need to run at least a 4.125 wide gasket....the correct thickness based on compression and your desired quench thickness.
