Default 231/237 with lower lift?

what kind of power difference would you get if you took the tsp231/237 with say a .555 lift for spring longevity? would it still make near 400rwhp on a cam only full bolt on car? just curious if anybody has thought of doing this. thanks in advance.

Lunati has a cam that is a 230/237 with a .544/.543 lift. That is what I jsut put in my car. Haven't had it on the dyno or to the track but it runs really well.

You can get 231.237 cams with lower lifts, but with the new double springs that are available 595 lift should be no problem

Jason, I don't have too much of a problem with the idea of changing the springs every 15,000/ once a year but I am curious what the difference in power would be to go with a lower lift that wouldn't require frequent spring swaps on a full bolt on cam only car versus the big lift. I will probably stick with the 595 lift, unless there is an acceptable, minimal power loss. thanks
