Default Tools needed for checking PTV?

Going to be installing a set of milled heads and want to check PTV clearance. I'm using the LS2 timing chain, so don't need the whole cam degree kit, just the tools to check PTV clearance. Do I need anything other than a feeler gauge/dial indicator and check spring?

need a solid lifter also. cheapest way is make your hydralic lifter into a solid one. you need to take it apart, it is very easy get a screw driver and take the metal retainer clip out. if i remember correctly should be just that metal retainer clip, metal retainer, and a spring. need to take the spring out and replace it with some washer or piece of metal to replace the spring. so it will be a solid lifter. if u dont want to use your lifter autozone sells them for liek $5 a piece.
