Default Top end kit and accessories

I have most the money I need so far and I've looked over my options at getting a head/cam package from TSP, most likely getting the stage 2.5 heads and an ms3 or ms4 cam, sick of getting beat by scion tc's and bmws. I can't decide on what cam to get though. I've also looked into having to get the pistons fly cut, but I keep seeing different answers. Can someone clarify if I will need the pistons fly cut for the magic stick 4 or 3. In with the package I'm going to get the ls6 oil pump and double roller while I'm at it whats another 300 bucks. What numbers should I be expecting with this? I searched and could only find the stage 1 heads or stage 2.5 head numbers, but with a different cam. Thanks guys

Default Dyno results

This post is a lil off topic but Cam only with LS6 intake 228/232 cam

https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...424-396-a.html

With the head and cam package your talking about, I'd say 450ish range.

I see in ur sig that the car is a 2000. Going to a ls6 intake ? That's worth some ponies itself.

I have the stage 2.5 5.3 heads and the MS3 and didn't have to flycut.

You'll see anywhere from 420-450 depending on the dyno

Yeah eventually Ill get a FAST intake but for now ill get an ls6. The magic stick 3 has a pretty rough idle doesn't it? Ill also have long tubes, dual cutouts then to an x pipe.

Haha I was just going to say.. Umm, driver mod maybe?

I don't see what the point of working on a Scion or Honda or anything of that nature is... but to each is their own I suppose

If you order the package together from TSP, they can sink the valves in the 5.3 head so that their MS3 will clear, otherwise it will not. The MS4 will NOT clear with those 5.3's regardless of if they sink the valves or not.

So if you are set on one of those combos, make sure you talk to them before you order.

get a custom cam, it will make more power than a ms4 and you won't need to fly cut the pistons.

Can I still get a rough sounding idle? I keep seeing people relate it to lobe seperation then some people so no it has nothing to do with lobe seperation angle.

you can make your idle sound rough with the right exhaust system, and a cut out. you choose cams for power not for how they idle.I know I am quoting some one ,can't remember who.

I know it's for power, but I like the way the magic stick cams idle rough, and if its only a 10 or 15 horsepower difference I'd choose the magic stick with its idle over a cam that only has 10 or 15 more horses. Can't I get a custom cam with a higher LSA if that's what creates a rougher idle with more overlap? Or do I sound like an idiot.
