Why don't big cubes make big numbers?

Why aren't the bigger engines making more power? Because we are all still using the restrictive LS6 intake. That intake only flows 280 cfm, and my heads flow 335 cfm. The bigger the engine, the more it is choked up by that intake. That is the primary reason.

I'm not sure why everyone keeps talking about the truck intake when J-Rod posted flow results that seemed to show the LS6 intake still outflowed the truck intake.

There is NO benefit to running the truck intake over an LS6.

From the design of the truck intake, it will give more tq on the low end. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

JFYI Sam runs a sheet metal intake.
Dyno #s do not mean chit, it is a tuning tool.
We dynoed over 550 at the wheels thorugh a T400 & 430 gears on slicks with a LS6 intake.
We now have a sheet metal intake, new #s soon.
