A cam card is for one specific cam. There could be slight variations, which is why they provide a cam card with each cam.

That's a perfect example of how far off from the advertised specs the actual grind can be.

x2. 'Ball-parking' a T-rex cam defeats the purpose of degreeing and is just asking for trouble.

Well put gentlemen. As stated before that is a large cam that must be set up and tuned extensively for the power potential of that cam. good luck. if all else fails call thunder racing with the number on the end of the cam and hope they have a card for it. if not i reccomend taking it to a cam doctor and seeing exactly what the specs are.

we've tried to call and email them with no luck....the motor does'nt have any compression and were hunting for the problem...the motor has 13.1 pistons but we did a compression check and it does'nt show but a 140lbs...we also did a leak down and its not the rings so were wanting to check cam timing...i appreciate people giving the helpful info..i just wish we had the cam card or wrote the info down from the cam when we had the motor apart...thanks again billy

That's an odd set of circumstances... I suppose if you really want to do it right I would suggest pulling the cam and having it spec'd out.

hmm...if your degreeing in the cam i assume you have a degree wheel. use the degree wheel to find the exact specs. that is the easiest way. Comp used to have really good instructions on how to do this on their website.
