Oil pressure is Fine. If its jumping verify on a mechanical gauge.

Need more info on the motor and the application. Is it cammed? how is it tuned? etc etc..

ok this is a truck application, had a 5.3L in it with basic boltons and a 93octane tune fomr blacbear. 5.3l had 130k miles this motor is suppose to have 32k also it pings at 3krpms I am assuming this is a tune issue, maybe torque management?

It was a stock for stock swap.

Why would Torque Management make it ping? If it's motor knock that's going to be your tune tuned too hot or tuned incorrectly.

sorry lost my track of mind when i typed that, tune isn't my problem right now.
I have a far bigger problem, some way I am slinging oil under the whole truck assuming its the crank freeze plug or rear seal going to check further into it.

Dipstick & tube from 5.3 onto ls1 oil pan will not be accurate right?

No it will show way above full on the dipstick, bc the 5.3 pan is deeper than an ls1.
