Sorry, missed that one. I'd keep it on the 111LSA on that one! It will peak about 6400rpm!

This is a very interesting topic. I currently run Patriot's 225/229 and I'm wanting some ported LS6 heads by the end of the year.. Haven't decided on Patriot or TSP heads yet... And I'm considering takin this cam out for something slightly bigger, I was thinking about the Torquer V2, and was afraid of the V3's lift, but Matt seems to think it's the way to go!... Hmmm decisions decisions

Hey Matt, if I order the PRC 2.5 heads, with the Torquer V3 as a heads/cam package, will you guys set up the valve springs so I don't have to touch anything? All I do is bolt the parts on and I am set?

With the ridiculous lift of the intake on the cam, is it suggested to replace the valve springs after a certain amount of time? How about the timing chain? Double roller, or what should I do for that? Thanks.

Yes, we will set everything up so you don't have to mess with anything! With our EHT .675" lift springs and the TorquerV3 you can go about 35-40K miles without worrying about spring life or replacements. At that point, we recommend pulling them to measure the pressures and seeing what they need then. More often than not, they are still well within manufacturer's specs and are good to go for many more miles!

If you're really on a budget, the STEM Racing 215 R2's I have put down 450/423 with a cam similar in size to the torquer. Don't even have a FAST on it yet. They aren't a sponsor though so I can't give out contact information.

6. We allow non-sponsoring manufacturers and vendors to come to LS1TECH and speak about their new products or answer technical questions about their products. This has never been a problem. Most of these vendors will often direct any business to their distributors who advertise here. We encourage industry people to visit and interact here. They can do so without soliciting products, this has been proven for years now. We only ask that non-sponsors make no attempt to post any form of pricing or contact information (email, phone, website, address, etc...) with intentions to solicit for business.

Sorry man, but Texas Speed has a great rep, and is only ~300 dollars more for their heads/cam build.

Also a 231/234 cam is not similar size to a 23x/24x cam.

I actually ran the torquer v.3 cam with patriot ported 99 ls1 heads in a stalled auto andmade 400 rwhp and the car was mean. Ran 11.30-11.40s. I personally like the prc heads alot better but the patriots were on the car when I got it so I used them and was happy with the combo I am sure with prcs it would have made a little more power. I also ran a a set of PRC 2.5 5.3 heads on my 2002 ss I had with the el-toro the bull cam speced by predz with a fast 92/92 and made 448/421 to the wheels on a stalled auto. The 2.5 5.3 heads are nice pieces. Im ready now to try 2.5 ls6 heads.

Hey (Matt TSP) sent you a pm about porting and installing larger valves in my 799 casting heads can you send me a price please. Thanks..

So since the lift is a good amount larger on the intake valve, do you run different springs between the two, or when you guys send the heads out you ship them with all EHT .675" lift springs on them?

With that strong of a spring, what timing chain/tensioner should I run?

Thanks.

LS6 chain will be fine and LS1's do not have tensioners except for a few 97 vette ls1's that came with them......

The higher spring pressure is harder on the lifters so get new lifters and hardened pushrods.
