Question TSP or TR cams??

is there a differance between the TSP 224/224 .564/.564 114
and the TR224 cam with the same #'s....any differance good and bad...and which one is better???

i doubt anything that would show up on the dyno to be worth swapping from one to the other. both use comparable lobes. both cams are great for the street/strip, cant go wrong with either.

thats like asking should i **** the big breasted blonde or the big breasted brunette

thanks..i wasnt sure if they used similar lobes/ramp rates etc...besides theTSP is about 40$ cheaper

Out of the two, I would get an FMS 226/226.... Different lobes, on sale for 369.99, SHOULD make a tad more power than both mentioned above....

everyone is saying a 224 on a 112 will be hard to smog...?

Give FMS a call. I was on the phone with them earlier today and Candy mentioned alot of people from Cali buying the 226 to pass emmisions.

go with whats been proven to pass smog. if not you might not like the results come smog time. or just run whatever you want and swap before emissions

Shhhhh... That's the cam im gonna run. Still possibly emissions friendly and just a tad more aggressive than the thunder cam.

tr224 112 tsp224 or tsp 226 with kooks long tubes and 342 rear which gear would pull the hardest off the line stop light to stop light Thanks Mark

what kinda lobes are the TR cams made on?
I dont know about all TSP cams, but the 231/237 is a Lunati grind

The 231/237 has rather soft lobes. I'm sure the smaller TSP cams run harder lobes.
Thunder's cams have damn hard lobes.

Looking at a thunder tr224/224 112 .580 or the fm-f2 112 or fm-f4 114 which won would pull the hardest in a 6 speed. Thunder or Futral
