need some help with a camshaft???
hey guys i have a 99 firehawk and just got a new crate engine its ( stock ) long story about that but my ? is ..my stock cam i want to advance it to get more low end and to have a better idle .its on a 117 and i wanted to go to a 112 I C L..... will it do me anygood also i have no idea how to use a degree wheel so i would like to do it what the timing chain gears how do i do that ???never did one on a ls1 before ........... also if anyone has a old cam laying around for cheap that would be good too

yea i am i was driving home from AC with my sister and tried to avoid a deer and went over a a big *** rock and cracked the block and state farm payed me for a new crate motor so yea......

No offense but find new ppl to listen too. Im not really sure what you are looking for but here is a couple of affordable suggestions. Get a used ls6 cam and springs stock idle more power. If your looking for a lopey idle with a little more power get an used asa cam. These cams are cheap and I think you can even get away without a tune if you choose, but to get the most out of it you will need a tune. You can probably pick up a ls6 cam for not much more then an good adjustable timing set which you would need to advance the stock cam. It would also be helpful if you listed the mods you have done to the car.

tb bypass p&p tb and maf slp tune headers cats and proflow exhaust royal purple in rear trans (M6) and engine E3 plugs slp diablo tuner and crank pulley with 3.42 i only want a lil idle tho

y u say the ls6 cam?? is that what u went with??? and im kinda broke so i need a used cam and im only looking for a lil idle i guess 1 or 2 steps better then stock
