^^^^^What he said^^^^^
Not only that, but I scored those $600 for $400 shipped to hawaii, and the $500 dollar pistons for the same. Not a bad deal if you ask me, especially being in Hawaii shipping usually killes us guys out here. Believe me Ive thought about it, but i also thought it be cool to retain the original block. You dont see that to often.

Ah Marine I take it, you work on 46's or 53's? I work on 60's myself, kills my motivation to work on my car after dealing with these cold war relics!

Ah, shipping a block to Hawaii could be pricey yeah. In the lower 48 you'd be very close to being at the cost of a new finished LS2 for machine work on a block though. Bore, clean, align hone, deck etc...

Parts look good, build looks good, car looks great too.

It does till you go to put it back together.

Now might be a good time for a tubular K member and a quick ratio manual steering rack. Weight savings and the new manual units are pretty great at making it easy to turn while stopped or going slow.

wow! i've done this this exact thing this year and the wiring in yours discourages me just sittin here lol props to you for attempting this!! good luck with this! i got mine up and running last month, make sure all your positive wires are secure on the starter, the fuse panel on the drivers side, the negative cable on the passenger side of the block goes in between the dipstick and the block and not outside the block and remember it's supposed to be closer to the block than the dipstick.

I had to knock a wall out of my garage to make space to fit a second car. With the second car in there it is beyond cramped. Much like what you pictured.

Aight boys im back from Afghan and its time to get back at it. I've been doing some soul searching and it looks like a nitrous 383 ls1 is the way to go. I'm currently looking for a 4.000 crank and some 3.905 piston that will stand up to a healthy shot.
