I just bought a nice set of powder coated valve covers and they only have the one pcv port on the pass. side valve cover, my current valve covers have two ports on that side. The new valve covers are from a 5.3/ls6, and I did not know the difference until I got them.
My question is can I just plug the rear pcv hose that goes to that second rear port and not have any problems. I searched a bunch of threads and nothing was real clear on this. I do not want to change to the LS6 pcv and I do not want to remove or make big changes to my current pcv system. Thanks with any help!
I hope I don`t have to sell them because they look really good.

pretty sure you need both ports man.. one for the PCV hose, and one for the vacuum hose that goes to the throttle body.
Here's an alternative.. get an LS6 valley cover, and you won't have to worry about the PCV system pulling from the valve covers anymore. You will have less oil consumption, and less hoses all over the place. It really cleans it up. You can buy it from GM Parts Direct and the little caps you'll need from that site as well. Look on LS1howto.com and there's a write up on it.

Thanks for the reply`s, I`m just being lazy and I don`t have a lot of free time to work on the car. I was hoping for an easy fix, but it sounds like I might just sell the valve covers and keep what I have. Thanks again.
