Default LS6 to LQ4

Hey guys, I run a LS6 gen 3 heads cam motor in my Nissan. I have a spare LQ4 from a 2004 Silverado 2500HD. I Just want to make sure my gen3 LS1/LS6 Texas MS3 cam will swap right into the LQ4 using my ported 243 heads.

nope it will all swap right over, however the cam will be slightly smaller in the lq4 as it is a bigger engine. you will also lose some compression because of the pistons the lq4 uses unless you mill your heads a bit

my friend milled his 317's to .015 and had them port and polished with the Ms3 and .675 springs in his lq4 block. runs real good.

Well the plan is to go with L92's one day (when the motor gets stroked), but to make the swap easy and affordable I think I am going to use my Ported 243's for now. I will have the heads checked and possibly milled but a tad. .005.

LS1/T56 Spec 3 clutch / Spec Steel flywheel, Ported 243's, 605/610 238/242 114LSA MS3 Cam, LS7 lifters, LQ9 rockers, LS2 Lifter trays, Texas speed Ported LS6 oil pump, Hardened Pushrods, Patriot Racing Dual Gold Springs, Racetronix 37lb injectors, Hooker headers, Borla Exhaust, Meziere Electric water pump, 85mm Throttle Body, Weiand ported / honed intake. So gonna swap all that stuff over to the LQ4 (2005 26k miles)
