What'd he do to it? I'd bet a dime and maybe even a quarter that you just didn't run the car long enough after doing it to blow all the nasty **** out of the engine.

Also, just for future reference, it's normally better to Seafoam (or MCCC) your car before installing new plugs - just keeps the new ones from possibly getting gunked up. Also, never trust the counter monkeys - check the gap on all the plugs even if they say they're already properly gapped.

Also when doing the MCCC no smoke at al came out in the process??
Yea I dont know why you didnt get any smoke after, I use that stuff all the time & it def. throws white smoke everywhere. Yes it will cause the SES light to come on but ya gotta go out & give it a good run to clear it all out. Glad to hear you got it cleared up finally.

yeah plugs were gapped wrong so they gapped all of them and fix some of the plug wires and put everything back, since i didnt check the gap im sure that was the problems but since i didnt have a good gapper i decided to them to look at it, right now my car feels faster than before and shifts perfect i guess at the end mopar did do something good even if it gunked my first set of plugs

This.

Where the wires not on all the way?

I love seafoaming a car. The cloud of smoke you get when you put the pedal down is great!

Seafoam (or any other top end cleaner) can be very beneficial if used correctly. I've cleared up knock retard with it, and picked up a couple MPG's in some of the 5.3/6.0 trucks due to all the carbon build up from **** gas that people run in those things.

hey guys just when to my college EPCC and we have an automotive class, anyways i have a friend their also and he told me to bring the car, he hook up this scanner and I told him my car used to misfire but western tech fix it. So he hooked it up and the misfire showed 0 for all cylinders but when you gas it a little it gave a very small misfire in cylinder 1 & 7 like a 1 or 2???

to anyone that has used the advanced scanners, is those very small misfires something to worry about, he told me they were so small the pcm doesnt even bother to check them out??

uhm i guess its hard to explain but the scanner shows really small misfires on cylinders 1 & 7, i guess the only way you can tell is if you have used one of those advanced diagnostic scanners

you can have a misfire. usually they arent big or small. lol There just isnt a multitude of them. Sometimes cammed cars tend to do that, but you dont appear to be cammed.

This is my confusion. Never heard of "small" misfires...

I don't keep motors long enough to ever need to clean it. 7,000mi or so and i'm on to a new build. I just bought a new block to start my 434ci build in the next year. Then i may try a 500ci two years after that..
