whats the biggest bore that I can go to on a 6.0 block. Can I go 4.080?

 

4.060" WITH a sonic block test to make sure it can be done.

As Cannibal said... 4.030" is usually the max bore we'll go out to on these to be safe.

I'm running mine at 4.080". Now, I've only had the motor running for about a week but I've managed 400 break-in miles including a 100-mile trip and some "spirited" road tests. Car feels great. I'll post more info after I get it dyno-tuned next weekend.

 

Your only talking a few cubes, it really isn’t going to make any difference. In my opinion all you are doing is preventing a rebuild in the future.

I think first you need to make sure you have enough cylinder before you try to make the hole bigger. Some engines will go to 4.080 but then your cylinder wall thickness is very thin, then you have cylinder wall flex which will make you loose power. Most engines will go out to .060 over no problem, but more could have ill effects.

But check with your engine builder and some local machine shops to see what they say, Ask people Lots of people.
