On my way home the other day My engine went very hot 235+. I am using EFILive to check the temp. It usually runs around 190+. I got it home after stopping once to let it cool off. The first thing I thought of was the thermostat. I am using a 160 TS and had the stock one to try. I checked the 160 TS in a pan of hot water and it was open. It still overheated just setting in the garage. I then checked the fans. They both come on. So then I tried a new cap and still overheated. I did notice with the cap off, the water would start pouring out the radiator after the engine got hot. I have never seen this before. The top and bottom hoses are hot. I did tried to get all the air out. It is still getting hot. So dummy me went and bought a new water pump. No help.
I also moved the top condenser line to get the O Relly's radiator cap on and it started to leak out the freon where the line goes into the condenser. Another problem. I took the line off and the line looked OK. Probaly the O-Ring.
Right now the cooling is the first problem. Could the radiator be clogged? I have the stock radiator. The one in there was a SLP oversize that was put in years ago.
Thanks.

I also started smelling a faint ordor of anti-freeze with the air on when driving down the road. I am afraid my block might be bad. Have to wait until I replace the radiator but.....
