benifits of ls2 timing chain???

benifits of ls2 timing chain???
can someone please fill me in, i am oblivious on this subject. should i consider doing one when i do my cam swap to MS3 (in like 2 weeks)??? if so, what all do i need to get to do it and where can i get it?? thanks yall

You should IMO always swap in a new chain during a cam swap. The LS2 chain is the chain a GM dealer would now give you because our chains are no longer available. Either The LS2 or the C5-R chain would do you good. If you want some added strength and don't mind spending a few extra bucks then go with the C5-R.

LS2 chain is clearly stronger and thicker. LS2 sprocket has a 1x reluctor (solid raised section) on the cam gear thats not needed for LS1s since our cam sensor is located on the rear of the cam. It however, does not interfere with anything so its all good I would replace the chain/sprockets together. Yank, a sponsor on here, has the LS2 sets for right at $70 shipped.
