Hey guys for the last month or two i've decided to finally start digging back into my car, i jumped around from build to build. i started looking in to forced induction but found out it was just to much money. then i started looking at building my stock block ls1 turning it into a 383 and spraying the **** out of it. then i just figured the money for that would be insanely stupid for what it is. So finally a i started looking on tech one day and figured out that the way is should be going is with a 408 i can get one built and out the door for just alittle over 4k. i currently have the TSP prc 2.5 5.3 heads i plan on reusing those with the build, and jumping up from my ms3 to a TSP giant cam. now i understand that its not the best power making set-up but its with in my budget. im also going to be running my bbk intake manifold because of the nitrous i am spraying now, i just dont see the point in wasting 1300 for a fast and having it blow up. the only thing i hope is that i dont waste all this money and make the same power that i have made on my ls1.

If it's in the budget, I'd definitely recommend getting a FAST intake to let that stroker breath! Just ensure your nitrous is set up properly and you won't have to worry about backfiring and splitting the intake.

i was planning on the alittle further down the road, i would like to put a 102mm from fast but i dont know if there are any fitment issues with it or what it requires to make it fit
If this is going into the car in your signature, it fits perfectly without any modifications!

Im stuck with the same top end that was on my LS1, 799 heads, MS4 cam, LS6 intake, mid length headers, etc. I picked up 30 rwhp and 60 lb ft peak, but a freaking boat load across the board.
Squeeze the better parts in if you can, but if not, the extra 62 cubic inches will definitely be felt in the torque department.

Let us know when your ready to pull the trigger on a 408, we have several in stock & have some pretty sweet pricing on them right now!

The -8cc Wiseco, with a .045" Cometic gasket, and the stock 61cc chambers on those heads will net you right at 11.6:1 static compression.

im pretty excited to get this motor, the only thing im truely nervous about is the motor making the same power as my stock cubes did
Won't happen! Just look at a few factory options to see what cubic inches gains. An LS6 came with 2 cams in different years. One was smaller and made 385hp. All things equal but with a bigger cam it bumped to 405hp. Now they jump from a 5.7l in the LS6 to a 6.0l in the LS2 and still using the same heads and the smaller cam with a lesser flowing intake it made 400hp. Swap on an LS6 intake and it's about 415hp. So all things equal you're looking at 30hp gain going from 5.7L LS6 to 6.0L LS2.
You should make out fine fella. I made 508/479 uncorrected (495/471 corrected) with my PRC 2.5 5.3s and a MS3 on a 114LSA through an S60 with 4.10s. I do however have a ported FAST92/95TB and ARH 1 7/8" LTs. Everyone said that breaking 500 with that setup wasn't going to happen. It will be tougher without a FAST but the car regardless will still make good power fella. Plus anything you swap out/replace (heads, intake, etc...) will just add that much more power.

i was reading somewhere and they are trying to tell me that for the fast 102 to work with an ls1 you have to upgrade the fuel rails, but i was planning on just using my oem ones with the lq9 so is that going to be a problem, or should i just try and find a fast 92/92 which seems impossible these days
The 102mm intake does require an LS2 style fuel rail. You are correct!

You could go this route. http://www.schwankeshortblocks.com/s...?i=1497&c=1216
Just go with the 2618 Wiseco piston upgrade for $300, 408/415 doesn't change the base price.
How far are you away from us? It will be $200 shipping, but you might want to came and pick it up. We could do a chassis dyno session for you when it is all done as well.
