Default installed a stock cam now it ticks like a motherfX*ker

Ok, I have a 01 formula that had been parked for like a year and a half. Before it was parked the motor had been rebuilt and only had 3k on it. The only mods were ported oil pump, ms4 cam, prc and headers. I would crank the motor once every 5 months and would notice it would mark low oil pressure then good so I did an oil change and it was fine. I swapped the ms4 with a stock cam and left the prcs on it with stock pushrods. I installed a stock pcm and idles fine but once it warmed up it would missfire and set off the ses light. I put new plugs and wires and idled great untill i backed it out of the shop it started misfiring again so out of anger i punched it anddid a sweet *** peel out but still misfired. I slowed down to park it and it has as loud *** pop or knock from the rear passenger side cover. Oil pressure is real good...wut the could it be?

Are the injectors stock? Are you sure the pushrods are stock? If you have larger injectors and now went to a stock tune, that could be causing the poor running/misfire. As far as the the knock that was created when you did the "sweet *** peel out", you probably fvcked your engine. Not smart dropping the hammer on an engine that is obviously not running right. No offense, just sayin.

If you have aftermarket springs you may have bent the stock pushrods. They are not meant to handle more spring than stock, and sometimes don't even do that well.

Probably the problem. Check to make sure the windows in the head didn't get damaged or worn by the pushrods if they were indeed bent.

Yep, stockers are likely bent.
