Default ARE Stage 2 heads ?

Because of living in Ontario I'm limited to my selection of tuners. I'm considering the ARE stage 2 heads. I already have TPIS longtubes Ypipe and Hflow cats with most of the other bolt ons. I was wondering what cams you are running and how you like them. I have a 6 speed car that is not a daily driver but I like to make long road trips. I have to meet emissions test. The car does some 1/4 mile runs but see's more lapping days and solo 2. I have read that the TR 224 cam will pass the E test any other sugestions.
Thanks

Since you are local, you MIGHT get lucky.

try searching on ARE's business practices, they a not a sponsor here for a reason.

I am running ARE's gear and have had success. I also managed to get a large cam 230/230 112LSA to pass. (I am 360 cubes though)

PM or email me and I can give you some advice re cam selection etc.

With the emissions requirements here (roller and idle) I would go with something in the 224 range on 114-115LSA with a bit of advance ground in. That will pass very easily and peak around 6200-6300rpm.

I'm running the same 230 cam with ARE's new 4.8 ltr heads. Very pleased.
BTW Wade is a very good tuner. He knows his ****.

Hey Orange I have a set of ARE Stage 2 heads with 3000 miles on them I'm selling with a 224 228 cam. The heads and cam made over 400rwhp. I going to be building a bigger motor and no longer need them. They run great and will save you over a grand. There still on the car you can hear them run and go for a ride if you like.

You're local so you should be fine as far as getting your stuff.Wade told me last week he is feeling real positive about the new heads they have come out with recently.I haven't heard of any customer service complaints from people local to them.It is a different ballgame when you can make a quick drive to someones shop instead of being thousands of miles away waiting impatiently.

ARE is a non sponsor here at LS1Tech. If you wish to conduct business with them, please do it via e-mail.

Thank you,
Mike

A friend gave me some very good advice to follow when having another motor built:

1.Never take your motor out of the country to have work done.

2.Use a engine shop that is within 2 hour drive or less in the event you have to travel to your engine builder to wrap your hands arounds his throat and beat the **** out of him for not getting your stuff done when promissed.

3.Do business with a builder that is within reasonable distance to drive to at least weekly so as to stop in unannounced and monitor progress.

Advice to live by!

I seen your car at ARE when I was picking my motor up this past December. You really owe it to your self to take a trip and see how the guy's are coming on your silver Camaro!

REALLY YOU SHOULD TAKE THE TIME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND TRAVEL ON OVER TO SEE HOW MUCH PROGRESS HAS BEEN MADE ON YOUR CAR AFTER A YEARS TIME!

Good Luck!
