How often should you change comp 918 valve springs
#42
You do not need double springs for that cam.
If you're leery of the breakage with 918's, buy the PACs. It's a trusted brand with no known breakage issues. The Pac 1218's are rated to .600, and are cheap. If you want a little more *****, buy the 1518's for $100 more.
As long as pushrod length is measured correctly, a single spring will be just fine for 25-30K.

thanks its settled then. Plan as of now is to get the .650 for safe measure first go around, if the 918's currently in it dont show too much drop off i may go with the .600 rated pacs the next time. Thanks again
