Default Opinions/info wanted about this setup.

Still doing research on what engine to build that will be almost as reliable as my stock LS1.

Looking for something around 425rwhp with decent street manners with a 2800 stall.

Current idea is a stock lq9 with stock 243 heads, looking for a custom grind cam that can use stock ls6 spring. Not looking for a bunch of lift because I dont want to replace valve springs. Is it even possible to get 425hp from this setup? Or will punching the lq9 out and getting a FAST intake be required. I will be putting a ton of money into our 79 trans am after this and want something me and my father can cruise together and take on the bandit run etc without worrying.

Thanks for the comment. Basically the main goal is to have something that will take it easy on valvesprings.. is it possible if I punch it out to 408 that it will be possible?
