Yes that makes sense. I think reliability is more a concern for the average crowd? I just want to change oil from time to time, not engine parts.

definately. you don't have to spin it near as high to get power and it's gonna have forged internals and most likely be balanced and blueprinted.

IMO the 383 is better $$$ spent..
1 U get a forged bottom end
2 U dont have to rev it past 6400
3 It makes more TQ from 2000 on up
4 Idles better considering u can eat up some of the cam via the cubes

Dont get me wrong I LOVE my S2X setup but bigger cubes,more tq are hard to beat.

454 is using a crap load of stroke

a 436 is already huge and the extra potential power of a 454 really isnt worth having issues with the engine.

u dont have to do a 454 to do a 300 shot; u can do that on a forged 346
