Question 806 heads

i have a 98 camaro z28 with 806 casting heads i was wondering are they worth working on or should i just find sum 243's an start from there an find a nice cam? my goal is to hit the 400+ an DD also i have 3:42 n 3600 stall

I personally wouldn't bother working on 806's. 243's with a good valve job and a little bowl blending can be a great bang for the buck....

I agree, the 243s would be a much better place to start. Just bolting the stock 243s on there should pick you up around 15rwhp.

wow ididnt kno it was that much of a difference, is it hard to do head and cam swap on ls's with motor in the car?

Did my head swap on my driveway... took me two days.. no special tools needed.

Not hard, just very time consuming without pnumatic tools. I just ported some 241's that should gain you around 25rwhp and have them in the for sale section. Only asking $500 with valves and springs.
