oil pressure question / Post CAM Checkup
I just did a cam swap and included a TSP ported LS6 oil pump (25-12586665M) in my install.
I am using 5w30 mobil one. I am curious if my oil pressure reading are ok with the new pump.
Oil Temp 100* @ 61 psi at idle 950rpm.
Oil Temp 100* @ 71 psi mild throttle 3500 rpm
Oil Temp 194* @ 39 PSI at idle 950rpm
Oil Temp 194* @ 61 PSI mild throttle 3500 rpm
I just changed the oil after about 500 mile and had a few shavings on the oil plug, is that also normal after a swap?
Also I have noticed on a cold start up if I give it the pedal I get a loud clanking noise, that quick goes away if I get out of the gas. It's not there at warm operating temps.

First, don't rev it while its cold, second though, it still shouldn't clank when cold. Third, Rule of thumb is 10 lbs of oil pressure per 1k of rpms. You are fine with your oil pressure.
