Default Camshafts and their specifications

It wasn't so long ago that I read a little into a post that had a great in depth explanation on how cams work as well as defining the specs of a cam i.e. Duration, split-duration, lift etc. I've done a search but can't find what I'm looking for. I'm hoping that one of you has a link to that post or knows of a nice informative web site that will help me out with my selection of a cam. Your input is appreciated.

Thanks,
Justin

You are the man JRP!! That's the exact thread I was talking about. That's a really nice overview. Whose Jmx anyway? I think I'm pretty much decided on getting the 224/224 114LSA. Why does everyone get the Thunder Racing cams? Do the TSPs not see the same gains? As always your input is appreciated

actually, JMX is the man, he's the guy with the great site; www.ls1howto.com

TR makes great cams and they have excellent service, what more can be said :dunno:, do a search or look on page 2 or 3 and there was a tsp vs tr cam thread. both cams are comparable that if you had one and swapped it for the other you'd see no gain or not enough to even warrent the swap, assuming were refering to both 224 durations.

and right now theres a TR cam special so jump in while you can
