maximum rpm?
#2
With a true stock LS1 bottom end, many people have safely visited 7000 rpm for dyno pulls. If they're doing that after the dyno, I'm not clear. Stock stuff seems to be good to 7200 rpm with just ARP rod bolts. At that point, you may do best to switch from hydraulic roller lifters to solid rollers, and to switch from the stock-style intakes to an Edelbrock Victor LS.
There are stories out there of a stock-rods 4.8L being daily driven at 7500 rpm, though he probably used ARP bolts, too. The 4.8 is the short-stroke version, so it's plausible.
