lm7 with lq4 heads
#3
LQ4 heads should be 317s or 035s. They have a combustion chamber volume of 71.06cc. The heads on your LM7 should be 706s or 862s. They have a combustion chamber volume of 61.15cc. It would be a VERY bad move to make this switch. You would loose way too much compression. What you would want are 243 or 799 heads, and they would have to be milled down to get the desired compression.

lm7 options
basically blsnelling, i have a stock lm7 that i want to push to the limits, somewhat, on a (newborn son) budget. i have (2) camshafts. one is the Z06 ls6 cam and the other is a special ground cam(112 center line,(I).580/(E).578 lift with(228/224). i know the special ground would be the better choice but i want the heads to be upgraded also. im looking for options. i heard good n bad opinions about wcrhs. oh yeah the edelbrocks r totally out of budget.

not that many people run edelbrocks on lsx motors I don't think anyway. just look around at the million posts on different heads. look into AFR, TEA, TFS, even PRC. theres enough stuff to fill about 10 hours worth of reading on top end/heads alone.
