ARP bolts are 3 steps to 75ft-lb for big ones and 25ft-lb for the small ones. I can get you the torque order in a second.

EDIT: order is

Small bolts at the top: 15, 13, 11, 12, 14
Middle bolts: 10, 3, 1, 5, 9
Bottom bolts by manifold: 7, 6, 2, 4, 8

I don't have the picture but thats out of the GM manual.

http://www.bowlingss.com/LS1_How_To.htm

Click on Head Replacement. Near the bottom of that page where they talk about using ARP bolts.

Correct!

I will add only this. IF you need to stop, complete a FULL pass so they are all equal TQ. So you dont chance warping the head. Had people I know in the past with Aluminum do a half pass and get caught up in something and to finish up days later and then have issue later in the summer.

so when running through 1-15 I start at 1 and do I torque all the way to spec? Or just go through 1-15 and snug and then go back through and torque to spec?

I got them all snugged because its a pain to do with a torque wrench, then started torquing. I also had to find a small torque wrench to hit the tiny bolts at 3 steps to 25ft-lb because my big one does not go that low. For those I ended up going 10, 20, 25.

You need to run the pattern one full, entire sweep. Once you get back to #1, then you step up the TQ spec, and do another complete pass, rinse, repeat for the 3rd sweep/pass. I always do one more at the same setting after letting them sit for a little while to double chk for false readings. I understand you need some oil to find false readings but another pass should good for double checking.

If I was not so fearful of the bolt holes potentially cracking if there is fluid or debris, I would be using a little oil, APR bolt lube or something to ensure perfect spec. (mind you there are different opinions on this subject, so let other people chime in).
