better to be deep or shallow? push rod wise :)

so i just measured for push rod length and came up with 7.310+.050 preload

so 7.360 push rod but the available push rods are 7.350 and 7.375

so is it better to be .010 short or .015 long ?

ls7 lifters
yella-terra rockers
afr heads 60cc's
tsp 228r cam
926 springs
titanium retainers
stock gm mls gasket

I would think the 7.375's would be quieter and still within the 1-1/4 to 1-3/4 turn tolerance.

I'm at 2 turns right now so I figure I need a 7.375 also to get back into the tolerance.

It is quieter and I don't like getting too close to the plunger clip at the top of the lifter, in a pump up situation you can (some here have done it) knock the clip out and then the lifter comes unglued. GM also has a recommended range for the lifters and I don't recall it being that shallow. Also, some have stated that less preload provides more power, but I have never seen any data to back it up. (These are just my thoughts on it)
