We usually set our rev limiters around 6800 RPM for the stock bottom end. The stock rod bolts typically don't do well with anything over 7000.

6000 is a day in the park for a LS1 bottom end.

Push rods should probably be replaced. Rocker arms are fine. Not sure about stock springs.

Depends on a lot of different variables. The parts you listed already changes what RPM the "top end" can handle and "safely" is open to interpretation as well. Just go with 6800RPM and leave it at that.

Stock springs are crap. Stock pushrods are crap. Don't spin to 7k.

There is no definite answer.

If it makes you feel better, I'll say 6500RPM.

If you have a 2001+ car your engine has the same rod bolts as the LS6 which was introduced in 01. That engine in the Z06 was rev limited at 6600 from the factory so imo its safe to say an 01+ ls1 shortblock can handle at least 6600 for a long time. Im setting my rev limiter to 6800 with my new cam.

I would not rev the stock valvetrain more than 6300. Those springs are not very good.
I would not rev the stock rods over that either, if you had the stronger LS6 style bolts and valvetrain, you could go to 6800. GM engineered the LS6 vavletrains to be stable to 7000 for any overrev or missed shift.
