Question Most compression for bottom end?

Was wondering what the limit on the rotating assembly was as far as compression goes, looking around for some decent heads to get, and i've run into a wall. If go with the Patriots with a 59cc chamber, and a thinner .040 head gasket, would that be too much pressure on the bottom end? or should i stick with a stock sized gasket?

Also i was looking at the PRC 5.3 stage 2.5's, they claim for a 10.75:1 compression, and if i go with the .040 gasket would it be a safer limit? Just trying to squeeze as much power out of it as i can without sacrificing too much

As long as your not going over 12:1 compression I wouldnt even worry about it.

Patriot 59cc with the .051 head gasket puts compress at about 11:1 on my stock ls1 bottom end. Same heads I'm running

i think octane and pvc issues will come into play before having too much compression for your motor will.

Fuel and tune determine the comp. The better the tune is able to stop detonation, and recognize if it gets any, will be your limiting factor. Alcohol fueled engines go upwards of 14:1 regularly, and make more cyl pressure as well.

Thinner gaskets will play with quench distance, and there are many factors involved in keeping it at the right distance (not touching).
