Dont feel bad my first converter was a tci 2500 lol. I had a 228R behind it and I took it to a best of 12.50 at 110, so It can help but just not as much. I then switch to a Yank ss3200 and 3.73 and hit a best of 12.06 at 116 with a 1.84 6oft.

I run a Yank 2800 with a XER281HR in a 6.0, ran fine for me, no lugging, and it would break them loose from a 65 roll on street tires.
