Default Need shortblock or rotating assy. Any deals?

I have an LQ4 in my car now making some noise (not sure yet what). Its turbocharged. So I'd either like to rebuild it with new rods and pistons (stock crank). Or find a shortblock.

Looking for whatever better deal I can get, I'd have to have all the block work done if I rebuild. So if I can get a shortblock, I could always sell off what I got and be better off.

Needs to be stock LQ4 compression (9.4:1 I believe)
And realistically the car will put down around 800whp. It wouldnt need to handle more than 1000 for sure. Doubt i'd ever upgrade the turbo but who knows.

What are stock rod capabilities? are some better than others?

Finding a machine shop in my area that is reliable and can have this done within 8 months is a pain in the rear.. I'd like to have it done and running by march.

Whos got some deals on shortblocks? semi-budget ones?

Or rod/piston combos?

We've got quite a few at competitive prices!!

And I'll agree with the Callies part of the equation (but do prefer a different piston generally)! We've had great success with Callies!

Callies crank and rods with wiesco or diamond pistons with a top steel ring will do the job reliably if you can build it yourself

Got any info? Link in your sig has zero info I need.

I dont really think I need an aftermarket crank if i was going to rebuild. I dont want/need more cubes really.
