LS1 with CheaTR cam and 799 heads?
Some history first...
I purchased from Thunder Racing last summer a CheaTR LS2 cam and spring package for my 370" iron turbo motor.
I am putting off the turbo motor for now and am putting an '02 Corvette LS1 and a T56 in my '74 Datsun 260Z. I want to put the cam in the LS1 with a set of 799 heads. I have spoken to TR and they confirmed the cam will be fine in it. The "swap" headers are 1-3/4" shorties and I will be using a y-pipe and run a single out the back. I want @400rwhp but I also don't want it to sound choppy. It is a Sports car after-all. I want a quick revving set-up. I am using an aluminum flywheel and Spec stage 4 clutch.
Does my thinking seem sound? Should it make 400whp?
Also, since TR recommended this cam to me for a turbo motor based on my requirement that I didn't want to hear a cam, I am surprised more people don't use it for forced induction.
I will still end-up putting the 370" turbo motor in the Datsun at a later date, but I wanted to get the car going with the LS1 for now. The turbo will be a PT76GTSH.

Are you saying I should be able to reach my goal with parts mentioned?
I forgot to add that other than the obvious LS6 intake ('02 LS1) I also have a FAST 78mm TB. I picked up the 799 heads today. They are off to have a comp valve job and probably some bowl and chamber work.
Also, when I bought the cam, I got pushrods, Patriot Extreme spring/retainer kit, and a Comp trunnion kit.

That is correct. The CheaTR LS2 is just bigger than the original but slightly smaller than the V.3. I think the V.3 cam out just after I bought my cam. The reason I chose this cam is because Geoff said it was what I needed for my set-up. A silent but deadly turbo motor. My daily driver was a BMW 540i and I want my Z to be as smooth and quiet, but make serious HP/TQ. I don't think it's specifically made for a turbo motor though. I have since read many threads of guys using similar cams with great results.
