lq9 how much should i pay? Ok I think I'm gonna go the 6.0 route since I hear its a easy swap,but how much should I pay for one? I just need the block correct?thanks God bless
Just to throw in a question from the experienced guys(not trying to hijack) but what all else is involved to make this swap right? Can u just bold on the heads and roll with it or is it more in depth? Sorry forthe newb sounding question, I am just unfamiliar with what the conversion entails. Thanks

So what should I get short or long block?I was planning on running my ms4 in the lq9, and what are a good head to run?will my ported stock heads work?or is there a better combo,also I will be spraying a 150 shot dry,trying to get in the mid to high 11s for next year,if anyone has a good build list please shoot it my way

Verdad Gallardo L92's are definately some of the best bang for the buck heads. But, you would have to ditch your MS4 for a different cam spec'd for L92's. If you've already got a nice set of ported heads, you might as well just get a short block and reuse your parts you already have. L92's would probably be more beneficial though.
So if someone were to just throw their stuff from their LS1 on to a LQ4 block, how much hp/tq difference would it make? And what are the benefits, other than being at a higher base power curve??? Im assuming its an iron block if I remember correctly, so I imagine again that it would be better to spray on for sure
Just trying to understand a bit better guys. I've been getting back into the scene slowly but I've forgotten more than most know
I was a Toyota tech for a few years so I really stopped caring about GM stuff cuz I dealt with yoda's all day lol Thread Starter

This guy I know told me he ran 12.50s with a lq9 for what he was saying I believe it was stock,from what I have read yes the lq9,lq4 is a iron block and can't handle a lil more punishment then a stock ls1,hey 6.0 guys what is better for a ms4 cam a lq9 or 4 ,I think lq4 ,if anyone knows where I can pick one up please shoot me some info

At this point I would take what I can find I have called every junk yard around cleveland and have found nothing,the only thing I did find was a damaged ls3 block
I cant find any LQ9s that cheap on ebay, even from LKQ. Seems like the LQ4's are going for $1000+ with 70k - 180k miles.
