Which heads for new setup...
Which heads for new setup... I'm planing my winter mods. I'm looking to pick up TSP Torquer V2 cam along with the basic parts with any cam swap. I want to do heads as well but not sure which heads will give the best bang for the money. Should I go for a set of milled and ported 5.3 heads or TSP stage II LS6 heads? Car is not a daily driver and will very rarely see the track. I'm looking to pick up hp under the curve and not so much top end hp. Current mods are vararam, lt headers, and fast 78mm intake. Car is 98 mn6 vette. Any ideas?
Winter mod list so far:
TSP head cam pkg (torquer V2 w/ stage 2 5.3 heads)
Ported LS6 oil pump
new pushrods
Dual Springs
Maybe underdrive pulley
LS7 lifters
42 lb injectors
Should this setup give me what I'm looking for? Hopefully, 430-440 rwhp/tq

The stage 2.5 ls6 heads I prefer a little bit over the 5.3l heads, but for the money the 5.3l heads are really hard to beat. You might also consider the PRC 215 heads. The aftermarket casting 215 heads are a little bit more $$ but they have some flow & compression advantages that make for some big power increases over stock GM castings.
