Lightbulb Can a 6.0 be bored to a 427?

Can the 6.0 be bored out to a 427? I know the most popular mod is the 408 for the 6.0 but my motto is go big or go home. If it can be bored out that big what does everyone think about this rotating assembly from texas-speed? Its priced right and they also have a 408 kit 2.

u can bore it over .060 and add a 4.125 crank, 6.125 rods and 4.060 pistons if my math is correct you should be around a 425-427 c.i. range (someone correct me if im wrong)

well you have to increase bore and stroke, to get it to that ci you cant just bore it.

A lot of people use an ls3 base and have it bored to clear the ls7 heads, i dont think you can get a 6.0l to clear ls7 heads without resleeving it. But the ls3 427 is the way to go imo.

Safely I wouldn't go over 408ci with it. You can but what you can do with a 408 you can be done with a 427. The only down-side is you won't be able to use LS7 heads, but ported L92s are just as good. Unless you want to spend $2500 on ported TFS 235's to stay with cathederal heads.

I forgot to mention this is an LQ4. And If i can't use the heads I have i'm just going to go 408 with it. From what I understand you just need to clean up the bore and re-hone it correct? You don't need to take material off correct? And is that kit good? Its the best priced one i've seen.

Then a 402/408 for sure, bro. You can't rely on the block with more than a 4.030 bore and make it take some real power.
