The minimum you are going to have to do is at least valve springs and pushrods. Texas speed has packages available for $530 right now for everything you need to do the swap. But then of course there is the "well since Im in there, I might as well do this" factor.

Its not necessarily the size that gets the lope, its the LSA. You want something in the 112 or lower range. Since youre not going for all out power, you can go with TSP 228/228 cam. Use the link below, and use the down arrow to put in the 228 cam. They are on sale for $50 off.

Prolly see about 30-40 with that cam with a tune. If you want more power with serious lope, get the MS3 or Torquer v2. Those will net you closer to 50ish. Theres a lot of dyno information on this site. Just search the cam you want it should pull up some useful info. You can do the same on youtube to hear what each cam sounds like.

the right exhaust and tune can give the motor that mean muscle car sound.match the cam to work with you tranny and rear gears.the LSA will effect how your cam lopes.look at the TSP cam kits cam, valve springs, and harden push rods.a ms3 will fit .

I'm running a TSP 233/239, 595/605 on a 112 LSA. It pulls like crazy at 3,500 and has a nice lopey idle.

I would give the guys at TSP a call and tell them what your goals for the car are. They can recommend a cam package that should make you happy.

Thank You for serving.

233/239 ALL THE WAY buddy made 403hp cam only with it on a 114 LSA i can't imagine how good it would sound on a 112
If I knew how to get a vid on here id post one so you could hear it. I feel like that cam is the perfect midrange cam. It sounds great Drives great with stock gearing pulls like a **** through the whole rpm band and you could drive the thing across the country and not know its cammed unless you pull up to a stoplight

Get a "thumper" cam from comp. That'll get you your lope.

My 231 buick had a zero overlap (if i remember right, don't have the cam card any more) thing sounded like a BBC boat engine at idle lol.

Wait I remember now the LSA was 106.

I really think the best sounding cam is the TRex V2 cam. 242/248 608/612 on a 110 lsa. But really, you can make a lot of cams sound "lopey" by tuning the idle down just a bit, if that's what you are really going for.

Just by the cam kit from texas speed,I think its 689,then a ls2 timing chain,ls6 ported oil pump, and some gaskets and a few bolts,I have a ms4 In my 99ss m6 and it sounds great,I love big cams ,just know no matter how good your tune is you will get a lil bucking at low rpms and some cam surge more or less depending on how good your tuner is,mine is tuned really well ,I went with the 4 because I all ready had an idea what I was gonna do with the rest of my build,12 bolt 4.30 gears,ls7 lifters, rod bolts, ported heads, ported fast ,and a lil spray, that all should get the most outta that cam,but u want your car to run good, what good is a good lope if it runs like ***, look into the ms3,or torquerv3 they both sound good, you could also get a custom grind, there are a lot of cams that have a good lope, but dont pick one based on a you tube video, and please care if your car runs like crap,I don't know if your stock or have bolt ons,but to get the most out of a cam swap get longtubes,ls6 intake, lid, ported tb,cat back or run, a cut out, good luck but make sure to call tsp and talk with them a lil bit before just buying something you will hate,

Yeah if you want a cam for sound it can be had with a tune and just about around the Torquer V2 from TSP specs, check out ls1sounds and youtube .com for cams and what ever you like the car to sound, search more info on the given name go from there. I will PM a list of sites that sell popular cams.

A (big) lopey cam is going to need some aggressive valve springs, titanium seats/retainers, and i would suggest chromoly pushrods. Unless your car has like 10k miles i would also do a new timing chain. You will need all of that, an oil pump o-ring, gaskets (water pump, timing cover, front main) and I would do an arp harmonic ballancer bolt rather than a stock one too... Stockers are not reusable btw. That being said I have a TSP MS4 for sale... It's big and lopey.
