Cal smog ?'s
About to order a cam here and am thinking on going with the TR224 114lsa but am concerned with smogability. Does this cam require alot of tuning to pass smog? Car is a M6 and I want to go as big as I can but still pass the sniffer test. Any California guys or gals have this cam grind and been to the sniffer???

That cam should pass with the proper tuning, and elimination of trouble codes. No one will pass you with the SES light on. I had a 222 230 on a 114 that would pass the sniffer no problem. If you are worried you could always go with a 220TR on a 114 lsa grind.

At stock 750 idle it wouldn't pass.

Re: Cal smog ?'s
sounds good then. Also as I understand it the 114lsa is a easier idle than the 112lsa improving idle passability. My stock idle is 800 and the plan is to have 2 edit files - 1 for max performance and 1 for smog - so I can just flash the smog file in before I go to get the cert (when time comes).
