Default External Crank Trigger???????

I am looking for an example, picture, or ideas of an externally mounted reluctor wheel and crank trigger. I had my old reluctor wheel destroy the sensor internally on my Callies crank. I am looking to mount it externally this time.

running it externally (ie balancer) defeats the purpose of reducing crank harmonics from affecting the spark. you'd be going backwards in engineering. i'd find out why your last sensor setup didn't work, instead of running away from it.

i have seen alot of post on here where unexpectedly the sensor collided with the reluctor wheel on aftermarket crankshafts. I currently have my crank at a very good machine shop. I will see if i can find more info. thanks for the post.
