MS4 plus ?Heads
I am currently running the MS4 and stage 1 PRC LS6 heads. I think its making decent power considering its on a LS6 intake. I am curious to what other heads guys are running with this cam with good results? I will be upgrading the intake as well and plan to spray it. Just curious as to what on the market is doing good without cutting the pistons. I feel there is a lot left on the table from the heads. Thanks

I have a ms4 and tsp told me the best heads are the prc 227, that's the head the use on the head/cam stock bottom end record holder,I agree the prc stage1 ls6 heads are pretty good but there are such better heads that are better for the ms4,plus tsp can do a lot of diffrent things like aftermarket castings so you will have clearance,if you thought about changing heads I would buy those ones off ya,I got another motor I need a set of heads for,

I know for sure I'm going with the prc 227s on my ms4 in my camaro, there's some info about them on tsps website, from what I have heard from texas speed they flow better than any head they have ever seen,I can't wait to see what those and the 4.56 gears put down next year

Depending on the application, either the 215cc heads or the 227cc heads would work with that camshaft. Both will be a nice improvement over the LS6 heads and with the thicker deck surface on an aftermarket casting, they will help hold the gaskets with the nitrous. Give us a call and we'll run over some things with your combo and make sure we get the right head for what you are looking at doing!

The 215 head has better p/v which helps if your not wanting to cut the pistons. Typically we like to see MS4 owners cut their pistons if they're running the 227 head because of the slightly larger valve.
The great thing about these two cylinder head options is we can get you a nice bump in compression without killing tons of valve drop!

So it is suggested to cut the pistons with the 227? Man I really want to avoid that. I was also told by you guys through PM I should run the 227 due to planning on spraying the car

We can set the heads up to clear with the MS4 and 227cc heads. It just has better PTV with the 215cc heads. Granted, other shops sell setups that run WAY tighter PTV than that combo. It would be better to flycut and mill heads but it isn't a must. If you are looking for an all out combo making max hp, the 227cc heads are the ones to run.
