Default Help me pick the right cam...

I have a 1998 M6 Trans Am with the current mods:

1) Fast Toys Ram Air
2) K&N Filter
3) ASP Underdrive Pulley
4) Mac Mid-length headers and Off road Y-pipe
5) Direct Flo lid
6) Nitrous (use it maybe one a month if even that)
7) Tr6's
8) MSD Spark Plug Wires
9) H&R Lowering springs
10) BMR Lower Control Arms
11) Tbyrne Subframe Connectors
12) Hurst competition plus shifter

I know some of the mods I have are not power adders, but thought it might help. Anyway, I want a cam that is going to give me the most power for what I can get out of it. My car is a daily driver so I would also like a cam that requires little or no tunning and idles close to stock. I just don't want it to sound like my car is going to die or don't want it to die on me all the time. What would you guys recommend and would I just need to buy the 918's and the new gaskets to complete everything, or would I also need the Titanium retainers? I'm a newbie on the cam subject so please help me out. Also is buying a used cam a bad idea?

For what you want I'd try the Comp Cams 218/218 .563/.563 114 LSA. That should give you a smooth idle, not require pcm tuning, and work with CC 918 springs.

this well do: Comp Cams LS1 Camshaft - 212 / 218 .522 / .529 114 LSA 1200-6000 RPM Power Band. Excellent low-end power. Mild Camshaft, great for automatic cars with the stock or mild aftermarket torque converter and daily drivers. Works well with Crane 1.8 Roller Rockers

have fun <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
