i just installed my fm11 in place of my 224/581/112
i use the 1/4" rods for the lifter tools, when i put them in though it seem like there was alot of slack, like no resistance at all, is this normal??
and for those curious about the idle, it is almost the exact same as my old cam, maybe a tiny bit rougher
time for a shower and a test ride

after driving around
idle is definately a bit choppier, doesnt want to die at all or anything but it has a bit more lope to it.
driveability is the exact same as the 224, cant tell a difference
sotp difference is VERY noticable. only did a couple 2nd to 3rd gear runs but it definately has more pull than before. the cam feels like is dies off a little sooner than the old one did though, maybe thats the difference the +4 advance makes on the new one over the 0 advance on the old
but remember this thread, the noise is back, probably has to do with the belt i think so ill take a look at them tomorrow if it continues
was the swap worth it, so far id say yes. get into a new cam and outta the old for roughly the same price, cant really beat it
any ideas on the lifter tool, power drop off with advance, or noise questions???

I would say that the lifters were stuck in the holders already. I just used the lifter tool to make sure they didn't fall. Shoot me a IM and tell me the details Tally.
Glad to see you like it
